The history of SAKAE Drums is long and rich. High quality isn’t just a concept - it's also the primary passion of this instrument maker. The high demands placed on themselves and their products is just one of the aspects that connect SAKAE and KORG.

In September 2019, KORG announced plans to take over the SAKAE Drums brand as part of a project named SAKAE Osaka Heritage.  Osaka (Japan) will continue to serve as the place where SAKAE Cajons, drums and hardware are designed and developed. The experienced SAKAE engineers and craftsmen now work under the KORG umbrella to create new, high-quality products that are adored by musicians worldwide.
