KORG multi/poly – “Virtual Analog” redefined

The multi/poly is a contemporary reinterpretation of the classic KORG mono/poly from the 1980s, which still holds a special place in the world of analog synthesizers due to its extraordinary concept with 4 oscillators and flexible sync and cross-modulation routings. The multi/poly takes up this legacy and, thanks to state-of-the-art digital technology, ports it impressively into our time. In addition to oscillators and filters, the latest generation of analog modeling from KORG also includes models of complete voice cards, which give each individual voice a slightly different sound due to the smallest component deviations.

Other details such as the behavior of envelopes and portamento in different analog synthesizers can also be faithfully reproduced in multi/poly. The result is an almost limitlessly flexible instrument with an authentic, analog sound that impresses with experimental features such as Kaoss Physics and Motion Sequencing 2.0 as well as a polyphony of up to 60 voices. Sound programs consisting of up to 4 individual sounds, which in turn can each contain up to four oscillators, guarantee larger-than-life soundscapes that can be used as layered, split or layered-rotate sounds. Thanks to its lovingly implemented design with a black and blue control panel and elegant wooden elements on the sides, the multi/poly appeals not only to fans of the latest sound technologies but also to lovers of classic analog synthesizers. The newly developed, semi-weighted keyboard provides a pleasant playing feel, while the included soft case with the “multi/poly” logo ensures safe transportation between studio and stage.
