The new KORG products for NAMM Show 2025

Just in time for the NAMM Show in Anaheim (California), Japanese electronics specialist KORG is starting the new year with a real bang. In addition to exciting new products from the synthesizer and digital accordion sectors, the latest generation of the legendary KRONOS workstation is also seeing the light of day!

KRONOS - The legendary flagship workstation is back!

The unique synthesizer workstation with nine sound engines is better than ever in its third generation: it has been equipped with hundreds of additional sounds, has almost double the SSD memory and a newly developed system architecture, which is particularly noticeable in a noticeably smoother workflow and a significantly faster start-up process. The new model also has a particularly elegant appearance with its black-colored wooden side panels. The sonic flexibility and extensive controller options that have always characterized the KRONOS have remained: 9 faders, 8 knobs, an aftertouch-capable keyboard, X/Y joystick, vector joystick and ribbon controller are just as much on board as the popular KARMA function, the sequencer with 16 MIDI and 16 audio tracks, the extensive sampler, the flexible effects section and the generously dimensioned connection section. The highlights of the newly added sounds include a new Italian concert grand piano, a new “Tine EP 1 Early” electric piano as well as hand-picked sounds from top-class third-party libraries and complete KORG libraries such as “KRS-08 Best of TRITON”, “KRS-04 Pro Splits and Layers” and “KRS-05 Ensemble Combinations”. This makes the new KRONOS not only the fastest representative of its series, but also by far the best equipped.

The new miniKORG 700Sm follows on from the legendary miniKORG 700S from 1973 and combines the unmistakable sound and intuitive operation of the original with contemporary features and a compact design. The miniKORG 700Sm has been designed to be only 86% the size of the original. Thanks to the slim slim-key keyboard, it is not only space-saving, but also extremely light - weighing just 5.8 kg. This mobility makes it the ideal choice for musicians who travel a lot or have little space in the studio, without compromising on sound. multi/poly module - the highly anticipated rack version of the versatile analog modeling synthesizer

With the multi/poly module, KORG is building on the immense success of the recently launched multi/poly and giving the instrument, which has already been hailed by the international trade press as one of the best synthesizers of the year, a space-saving module version in 19” rack format. With the exception of the pitch bend and mod wheels, the module has the same controls as the keyboard version and can therefore be controlled entirely via the control panel. Inside, the same 4-fold multitimbral sound generation with 60 voices works, based on virtual-analog waveforms, wavetables and waveshaper oscillators. Extraordinary features such as Kaoss Physics and Motion Sequencing 2.0 form the basis for unique modulations with a real “wow” factor. In combination with the surprisingly authentic filter models and the outstanding effects section, the multi/poly module is a true playground for sound tinkerers, sound designers and producers. As it also supports the MIDI 2.0 Property Exchange Standard and polyphonic aftertouch, it is an ideal addition to setups with other MIDI 2.0-compatible hardware such as the KORG Keystage MIDI keyboard.
